The most exciting Zip Line Park to
be found has finally opened in Costa Maya!!! This state of the
art Zip Line Park offers an all in one tour. Starting with an
Unimog Tour through the lush biosphere, 4 impressive Towers, 3
complete Zip Lines (one is the longest zip line in Mexico) and an
informative Guided bio sphere walk thought the Maya trails! You
will experience first hand the land of the Maya, with interactive
expositions and incomparable photographic moments!
The Costa Maya Zip Line Tour starts
a few steps away from your arrival dock at the Port where you will
board your van or bus for the 50 minute drive to the Zip Line Park.
Upon your arrival you at the entrance of the Park you will be
introduced to the Mayan Staff and board the Unimog truck where your
adventure begins!
The Unimog will take you through the
Chicleros trails of yesteryear for a good look (Guided and narrated)
at the very reason the Costa Maya Coast had been inhibited hundreds of
years ago. The Unimog's final destination is at the Welcome
Center and zip line Briefing Center.
At the Briefing Center the highly
trained Guides will demonstrate not only how to simply Zip Line
through the trees, but how the wench system will take you on top of
the high towers. This Zip Line experience is truly
effortless, as no climbing nor repelling is involved and will
cater to all physical abilities. The typical "handbrake" used to
stop your flight in the majority of Zip Lines is not used in Costa
Maya, instead all lines were methodically engineered to stop at the
very end of the line, hands are never used, making the tour one of the
safest/easiest we have ever experienced!
Once all safety equipment is
harnessed you will be on your way to the winch system which will take
you on top of the first platform to soar above the tree line!
You will experience 4 massive towers
(measuring over 100ft!), offering 3 amazingly long Zip Lines.
The third Tower measuring over 100ft in height offers an 800 meters
zip line, (over 2,600 feet!!!!) where you will admire the incredible
view of Bacalar and Cenote Azul from incredible heights!
Once the Zip Adventure is over you
will simply walk down a set of safe stairs (no repelling) and you are
on your way to explore the Maya Biosphere during the short walk back
to the welcome Center.
